Te Kura o Māngātuna is located in the rural community of Mangatuna near Tolaga Bay. We proudly serve a current roll of 24 students. We are committed to navigating the challenges we face and harnessing the strengths of our supportive whānau community.
Our Kaupapa Nui for the year centres on enhancing the quality of teaching and deeply embedding the principles and values of Nga Kura a Iwi: Tuku Ihotanga (cultural heritage), Mātauranga (knowledge), and Oranga (well-being).
Our goals are to foster uri whai mana motuhake—students who are confident, self-determined individuals—and to prioritise the establishment of strong, respectful relationships between kaiako (teachers) and students. By focusing on these areas, we aim to create a nurturing and empowering educational environment for our tamariki.
